Sport Timing

In 1964, SEIKO was the official timer to the Games of the XVIII Olympiad in Tokyo. The company decided to build an entire suite of new timing devices for the Games and no less than 1,278 timing devices were created, many using technologies that were to change sports timing for ever, including the first ever quartz timing device. The timing of the Games was an unqualified success. Ever since, SEIKO has been a leader in the manufacture of stopwatches and timing systems and has been chosen by the leading sports federations of the world to time major events at the highest level.
